Well thanks to Beattie calling the election the job applications I worked on for 2 weeks now seem to be worth zip! Yes, Beattie called the election the day after they were due so now all recruitment is on hold. Just to add fun and games, our Minister is retiring at the election which means our Department is up for grabs.
Poor old Sport and Rec is the little engine that could and just gets chucked onto whatever department they think of at the time. Personally, I'd like to see it added to Wine Development but I hazard a guess that isn't likely to happen.
The downside of all of this is is they can decide our jobs aren't needed - for those of us on contract anyway. So, vote for Labour so there's some hope of me keeping my job!
Yes, the rollercoaster continues - now heading into a possible 5th year! Stay tuned - September 9 will be a big day!
