Nimbin frolicking

I decided to take myself off to a road trip to Nimbin on Sunday. I hadn't been there for a while and lets face it, it's funny to laugh at the hippies and stoners.

On the way I stopped off at the Natural Bridge national park to see the Natural Bridge. I haven't been since I was about 5 and remember my uncle taking me to watch him junp into the cave - now very illegal! With all the rain on the Coast at the moment the waterfall was teaming - very peaceful and one with nature!

The Bridge and cave - complete with glow worms!

This is where the water runs too - very green!

Next I was off to Nimbin. I only got asked twice if I wanted hash cookies compared to normally 5 or 6 times. Needless to say I didn't buy them. Who's to say they arne't a copy in drag!! I had lunch at the Rainbow Cafe - highly recommend the spinach and fetta puff and sat outside with the wiff of whacky tobaccy in the air.

I decided to come home through Lismore and Ballina - if for nothing more than to get a pic of the Big Prawn. It's my first "Big Thing" on the Blog. Poor old prawny has lost his glowing coat a bit. I remember when it was first built it was a really bright orange but alas he has faded somewhat in the sun - should have been wearing cream!

Then just cause it's there, I went to the Macadamia Castle - yep, it's basically Macademia Nut world with an animal farm and playground attached. I just went into the little shop which had some really cool things and balked at the $15 price tag for 2kg of nuts!

A tank of petrol, 300 odd ks and 2 states later I was home.
